Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

Today we had the interview and I was very nervous I was pressuring my wife not to mess up and I had read all the possible questions. We got there around 9:10 am our interview was scheduled for 9:30 am, we got called right away I think. Our interviewer was a Hispanic lady very very very nice she spoke Spanish so she did our interview in Spanish. My wife wasn't stressed like I was but our interviewer made us feel so comfortable she was just looking over our file and making sure everything was ok she just asked us how we meet and why we got married in Florida. I was asked if I had any additional evidence which I provided to her she just attached it to the file she let us know our case was an easy case since my wife didn't have any criminal history or deportation order she told us she had approved us and provided us with two letters one was explaining the ROC and the other one letting us know that we had been approved. I can't believe I was stressing over going to this interview I wil... read complete review

Can you believe this??? We went for the interview. Waited about 1 1/2 hours. Sat there and watched this man riffle through our file...the only thing that he had an issue with was my husbands affidavit for birth...after all this time, we learn that he really was supposed to have at least 2 affidavits. Are you kidding me? I asked him, "why did the embassy not say anything to us at the interview for his visa?" His response was..."That is DOS and we are USCIS...We have different rules!"

In his haste to get us out of his office...he kept my California drivers license, my husbands UK drivers license, and my husbands social security card...

Oh and lets not forget the letter he gave us saying that he would be reviewing our case and we would get a letter in 30 days about whether we needed another affidavit for birth or we would get the green card in the mail...also, if we didn't hear anything within the next 30 days...we must come back to the office to inqu... read complete review

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

I found these reviews helpful, so i want to share my experience with others. I went in for adjustment of status through marriage; I am European and my husband is American.
Our appointment was at 0900 and we were there more than half an hour early. at about 0840, a lady comes in the waiting room, asking if there was anyone who spoke Spanish. I told her i did, she asked me if I had an appointment , I said "yes" and when she asked me what time my appointment was, I had totally forgotten (haha, I was so anxious) and I said "ten o'clock"!!
So anyway, I was half an hour through the other family's interview when I realized that my appointment was actually at nine o'clock and noticing how the interviewer-lady was just making photocopies (the interview was coming to an end) i asked her if it was ok to leave!!!
My husband, of course told me "Omg, they already called us in and you weren't here, I told them you were translating for someone, but what if they won't interview us ... read complete review
